Buffalo teenager arraigned murdering his girlfriend, leaving her to die in car inside park

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 18-year-old Mushagdusa Nankumba of Buffalo was arraigned on Saturday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge JaHarr Pridgen on one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felony). 

The defendant is accused of killing his girlfriend, 18-year-old Larrinsha Johnson, who was found deceased inside a vehicle at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park early Saturday morning.

Nankumba is scheduled to return on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was held without bail.

DA Flynn commends Detective Sergeant Amy Jo Frankel, Office Alexander Brennan and Officer Scott Aldinger of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
