Army Veteran’s Dog Who Saved his life in Afghanistan gets hero farewell

An Army veteran became battle buddies with a beautiful German Shepard while in Afghanistan. The dog was there to sweep roads for suspicious objects. The two of them forged an incredible bond, in fact the dog saved his life. While in a grape field, the dog started running. The dog pulled him out of an area with active IED’s.

The dog retired, and had four more incredible years with Balto. He recently lost the use of his legs. Now it is time to say goodbye to the dog he loves. He had a hero farewell for him on his last day.
