Investigation continues after two Florida teens found shot dead in Wildwood

WILDWOOD, FL – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a double homicide investigation and trying to identify a suspect responsible for the murder of two teenagers in Wildwood. At approximately 5:08 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Sumter County Communications Center received a report of two deceased persons in the area of CR 219, Wildwood, FL.

The victims of the homicide have been identified as Isaiah Alexander Nelson, 6/4/2003, of Wildwood, FL, and Preston Wayne Nixon, 10/4/2004, of Wildwood.

“This remains an active investigation, however, this does not appear to be a random act,” the department said. “There is no further information available at this time. We will provide updates as new information can be released by investigators.”
