20-year-old shot dead on Randall Street with multiple gunshot wounds

PAWTUCKET, RI – On May 15, 2021, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Pawtucket Police were dispatched to Randall Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim inside a vehicle with several gunshot wounds. The male was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim was positively identified as Leonardo Tavares, age 20, of Pawtucket. With the assistance of Providence Police, four persons were detained and questioned but later released.
