32-year-old man arrested after hit and run that sent child to hospital

WATERFORD, NJ – A child was struck on May 14th by a blue pickup truck on West Atlantic Avenue. The driver of that truck fled the scene and the boy was airlifted to Cooper Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Through that investigation, it turned out the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was owned by William H. Michael, 32, of Atco. Upon arrival at Michael’s home in Atco, police located the truck that had damage consistent with the accident that occurred the day prior. Michael was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving while suspended, aggravated assault, endangering a victim and assault by auto.
