It turns out former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates had a long term sexual affair with a female employee at the company and things got so bad for the board, that it wanted Gates out.
An internal investigation ended up with the board seeking Gates’ removal. Gates confirmed the report of the affair which happened years ago, but he said it did not fact into his 2020 removal.
The Wall Street Journal on Sunday reported that Microsoft’s board hired a law firm to investigate Gates in 2019 over claims he began an affair with a company employee in 2000 — just six years after his wedding, according to Insider.
