Stuart contractor fell through ceiling, died

STUART, FL – At approximately 1:30 pm, Stuart Fire Rescue personnel assigned to Station 2 (1100 SE Monterey Extension) were alerted that a contractor working on the roof of the building had fallen through the ceiling sustaining critical injuries.

Fire Rescue rushed into the fire station bay to find the 27-year-old male on the floor. Medics immediately began treatment and transported the victim to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.

Tragically, the victim was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital. This incident is currently under investigation by Stuart Police Detectives.
