My cat is a thief: Neighborhood cat won’t stop stealing people’s stuff

PORTLAND, OR – There’s a thief in the neighborhood in Portland and there’s even a sign to warn residents about it. Kate Felmet says her cat is a thief and she’s working hard trying to return the feline’s stolen goods back to their original owners.

“Esme brings me gifts every day. I can only use so many gardening gloves, so I put up a clothesline. Currently it has nine pairs of gloves two singles two cloth masks a running belt and a ball of string,” Felmet said.

It’s not sure why Esme likes to snatch gloves, but the cat is also a repeat offender, stealing one neighbor’s knee pads from their garage on three occasions.
