Pedestrian struck by Okaloosa Sheriff deputy in critical condition

FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – The FHP is investigating after a pedestrian in the right turn lane on an exit ramp was struck by an Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office patrol unit around 11 pm last night at State Road 20 near State Road 293. The deputy rendered aid until other first responders could arrive. She was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and was last listed in critical condition.
