Man found dead after Columbus police respond to complaint call

COLUMBUS, OH – On July 3, 2021, at 1:52 am, officers were dispatched to 686 Wedgewood Ave #4 on an unknown complaint. Officers arrived and spoke with the caller who advised he just returned to his apartment and an unknown male was inside, on the floor bleeding. Officers entered the hallway and through a partially opened door, noticed the victim, 33-year-old Dustin S. Lacey, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at 2:01 am. This is the city’s 103rd homicide in 2021.
