Murder-suicide reported in Columbus after husband shoots wife, himself

COLUMBUS, OH – On Friday, July 2, 2021, at 4:57 pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 2200 block of Laurelwood Dr. to perform a well-being check. Upon arrival, officers found the decedents, 60-year-old Terrie Williams and 72-year-old John Williams, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced deceased at 5:13 pm.

The couple was at home alone when John Williams shot and killed his wife, Terrie Williams. John Williams then turned the gun on himself. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call CPD’s Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at (614) 461-TIPS (8477).
