WASHINGTON, DC – It happened last week in New Jersey. The COVID-19 corps went door to door under the direction of Governor Phil Murphy. Now, President Joe Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki says the Murphy model will be used nationwide and Americans who are unvaccinated could soon have somebody from the federal government knocking on their door.
In an effort to respond to COVID-19 vaccine deficient hotspots, Psaki said, “His team is focused on getting more Americans vaccinated, targeted community door to door, community by community outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated.”
Last week, we reported in New Jersey, if you haven’t been vaccinated and you live at the Jersey Shore, you can expect a state official to come knocking on your doork. It’s part of a new COVID-19 vaccination drive announced by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
Governor Phil Murphy said he has created a “COVID-19 Community Corps” and will knock on 134,000 doors and make 60,000 phone calls to shore residents in Jackson, Middletown, Howell, Atlantic City, Toms River, Brick, and Jackson.
