Watch: Columbus police use helicopter to find missing teen

COLUMBUS, OH –

On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1:40 am, The Columbus Police Helicopter Unit was contacted by the New Albany Police Department who needed help finding a missing suicidal teenager.

The information officers received was that the 17-year-old boy was possibly headed toward the New Albany Country Club.

Pilot Officer Kinsey and Pilot Officer Kellough used the FLIR camera… slowing checking areas dense with houses and trees.Shortly thereafter, patrol officers were able to close into the area that was illuminated. As those officers approached the missing teen, he emerged from under a tree and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
