Repeat offender wanted for Crescent City shooting caught trying to flee to Mexico

CRESCENT CITY, FL – Francisco Arroyo, 27, was arrested in Missouri late last night as he was attempting to make his way to the Mexico border.

Arroyo is believed to be responsible for Tuesday morning’s shooting in Crescent City that left one man dead and another in critical condition.

Arroyo was previously arrested in Putnam in 2010 for robbery with a firearm. He was sentenced in 2012 to 10 years in prison with credit for time served. He was released in December 2020 and as a convicted felon cannot possess a gun legally.
