Victim shot by live-in girlfriend ran to neighbors door and collapsed

COLUMBUS, OH – On July 15, 2021 at 12:49 am, Columbus Police received a call stating a person was shot. Upon the arrival of officers, it was determined a male had been shot by his live-in girlfriend and the mother of his 4 children. All were present in the apartment at the time of the shooting.

The victim ran to a next-door neighbors residence and was banging on the door before collapsing.

The responding officers had to carry/walk the victim to the medic due to the suspect refusing to put the firearm down. The victim was transported to Grant Hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable.
