AOC slams colleagues says Congress doesn’t read bills before voting

WASHINGTON, DC- New York Democrat Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez this week slammed Congress saying she is one of the few in the U.S. Capitol who actually read bills before voting on them.

“I learned a while ago when I first got to Congress I thought, man people definitely study what they’re talking about here,” the former bartender said. “Then I got here and I realized that a lot of my colleagues don’t even read the bills that they’re commenting on.”

She said her fellow members make lots of statements on topics that have nothing to do with legislation before them.
