Myrtle Beach stabbing victim dies in hospital, suspect in custody

Myrtle Beach, SC – Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department are investigating after receiving a report of one person stabbed inside of a residence around 5:50 P.M. Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Officers responded to 1302 Dunbar Street after a call for service involving an assault.

Officers located one victim who had been stabbed and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The victim unfortunately passed away from his injury.

“A short time later, officers searching the area, received information of the whereabouts of the suspect. The suspect was located and taken into custody without further incident,” the Myrtle Beach Police Department said in a statement.
