North Caldwell Police revive child who drowned in pool using CPR

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ – On Monday August 16th at 1:30 pm The North Caldwell Police responded to the report of a 5 year old drowning victim. Upon arrival Sgt. Sue Depoe, D/Sgt John Lynch, and Officer Matt Carelo began immediate life-saving measures on the child who was pulled out of the pool by a teenager. The officers performed CPR on the child and were able to restart his heart prior to his transport to a local hospital. The department commends these officers whose quick thinking and teamwork was able to save a child’s life.
