Sunday night’s gunshot victim dead at hospital Boston police announce

MATTAPAN, MA – At about 12:34 AM on Sunday, August 22, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a call for a person shot at 12 Woodbole Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Late last night, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
