Police find drunk driver passed out on Gatlin Boulevard

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Port St Lucie Police Officers patrolling SW Gatlin Blvd near midnight last night found a white sedan stationary in a turning lane. Officers found the driver asleep at the wheel. Upon waking up, the vehicle began to move forward until Officers yelled for him to stop. He was subsequently arrested for DUI. Breath samples showed a .218 BAL, almost 3 times the legal limit.

“According to the driver he was headed home, it’s a good thing we intervened. PSLPD arrested 14 drivers last month for DUI,” the PSP said in a Facebook post. Police did not release the name of the driver.
