The Biden Administration continues to downplay the seriousness of this morning’s bombing at the Kabul Aiport, Originally the administration reported that several U.S. Marines were ‘injured’. Now, the Pentagon is reporting that four Marines were killed.

Now it has been confirmed that 11 U.S. Marines and 1 Navy Corpsman have been killed in the bombing. The attacker was a suicide bomber who approached the U.S. checkpoint on foot before detonation.

“We can confirm that a number of service members were killed in today’s complex attack at Kabul Airport,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said. “A number of others are being treated for wounds. We also know that a number of Afghans fell victims to this heinous attack.”

Kirby offered “thoughts and prayers” to the Marines and Afghan civilians killed. What neither he, nor President Joe Biden has offered was a solution or a response to the attack.

Last week, Biden announced that any attack on Americans at the airport would be met with a swift and forceful response.

“We’re in constant contact with the Taliban working to ensure civilians have safe passage to the airport… Any attack on our forces or disruption of our operations at the airport will be met with swift and forceful response,” the President said.
