Shooter charged for 2020 murder of Deshaun Frazier

FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Fort Walton Beach area man with second degree murder in connection with a shooting death last November.

39-year old Tavares Gainer is accused of shooting Deshaun Frazier November 20th, 2020 inside a mobile home at 107 Marimba Street near Mary Esther.

Investigators were told Frazier often had large amounts of cash, and that a significant amount of narcotics was missing.

Gainer was developed as a suspect and information was obtained indicating he was in the area of the shooting during the timeframe.

A source of information stated in a sworn interview that Gainer confessed and bragged about murdering Frazier, saying he had shot him in the head.

Frazier died from a gunshot wound to the head.

This investigation remains active and ongoing, with the potential for additional arrests
