Man shot multiple times in Astor Avenue home expected to recover

COLUMBUS, OH – On August 31, 2021, at 11:40 pm, the victim, 23-year-old Dustin Townsend, was shot several times inside a home in the 3000 block of Astor Ave. The victim was transported to Grant Hospital in critical condition. The victim is expected to survive his injuries. At this time, it is unclear what lead up to the shooting however, detectives were able to interview a person of interest and are currently following up on information as it comes in.
