As Tropical Storm Ida pummeled sections of North Jersey, a fire call went out regarding a possible explosion at a home in Somerville. According to an alleged eyewitness, the home exploded and debris in a photo published to Twitter appear to be consistent with that claim. The incident occurred on Mercer Street allegedly shortly before midnight.
Many areas in an around Somerville are experiencing extremely high flood water.
