Teen shoots brother several times, killing him after sibling fight

COLUMBUS, OH – A teenager is dead after he was shot and killed by his brother. On Wednesday, at 10:30 pm, Columbus police officers were dispatched to the area of the 6000 block of Jolliff St. on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived and discovered 17-year-old Joseph Lian was shot several times. During the initial investigation, it appears this was a domestic situation.

Two brothers had a physical altercation when one of them produced a handgun and shot his brother. The victim was transferred to OSU Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. At 1:21 am, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
