Taliban special forces shut down women’s rights protest with guns drawn

Women in Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul, for two days joined in protest against the Taliban’s treatment of women. The group was marching to demand equal rights for women under the new Taliban government.

Instead, Taliban special forces in camouflage uniforms fired their rifles into the air to bring an abrupt end to the protest.
