BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP – A female passenger was killed after a vehicle driven by a male driver veered off the road along the Garden State Parkway Saturday afternoon. The vehicle overturned, killing the woman and seriously injuring the driver.
The driver was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. The incident happened at about 2:26 pm while it was driving in the southbound lane of the Garden State Parkway.
Police have not released the names of the decedent or the driver at this time.
