New Brunswick man charged for murder

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (MCPO NEWS) – On September 26, 2021, at approximately 1:50 A.M., authorities responded to Fernwood Court following the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located Paige who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paige was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.


On September 28, 2021, Joe Williams, 38, of New Brunswick was arrested by members of the New Brunswick Police Department, the Woodbridge Police Department, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.


At present, the shooting does not appear to be a random act. The investigation is active and continuing.
