Police investigating shooting outside New Jersey high school football game

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CHPD) – Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night near Cherry Hill High School West’s home football game, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Acting Cherry Hill Police Chief Larry Robb.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:47 p.m. in the residential area of Fulton and Weld Streets, which is in the immediate area of the football complex. Cherry Hill West was playing Bridgeton High School at the time. Detectives located eight shell casings on scene.

There are currently no confirmed victims or suspects. The CCPO’s Major Crimes Unit and the Cherry Hill Police Department are handling the ongoing investigation.
