Fort Apache The Bronx: Massive gun battle erupts in the streets of NYC

by Adam Devine

NEW YORK, NY – A gun battle erupted right out of a scene from a Wild West movie, bringing the 1970s cop drama “Fort Apache the Bronx” to life.

Dozens of shots were fired last month in video footage just released by the New York Police Department shows two groups of men shooting at each other with disregard for their surroundings. Police said nobody was struck in the violent exchange and now, they are trying to identify the gunmen involved. It happened near 635 East 169th Street in the Bronx, a few blocks from Yankee Stadium, but not in any way related to stadium operations.
