Two shot Saturday in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – On Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 5:02pm, Columbus Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the area of Cleveland Ave. & Woodley Ave. on the report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, the officers located two (2) victims instead of just one.

The victims, 29-year-old David Vega & 24-year-old Lexi Etienne, were transported by medics to a local area hospital for treatment.

The victims stated that they were seated in a vehicle when a shooting occurred. As they were leaving the area, they were struck by the gunfire. Both victims were transported in stable condition and are expected to recover from their injuries.

This incident is still under investigation.
