Boston Police Find Guns and Drugs in Targeted Raid

BOSTON, MASS – At about 6:08 AM, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, Officers Assigned to the C-6 Drug Control Unit concluded several months-long investigations targeting drug Distribution that led to the arrest of Richard Weaver, 57, of Mattapan.

At approximately 6:30 AM, members of the Drug Control Unit executed the judicially authorized search of the premises. As part of this investigation, Officers applied for, and were granted, a search warrant out of Dorchester District Court for Weaver, his residence, and his vehicle.

Officers seized over $1,500.00 in US CURRENCY, over 100 rounds of various ammunition, a Bryco Arms .380 firearm containing (1) .380 round in the chamber and two rounds in the magazine, a Posco Arms .22 caliber revolver loaded with six (6) rounds, an M&P .40 caliber loaded with six (6) rounds, Springfield Amory .40 caliber firearm with seven (7) rounds, a .357 revolver loaded with six (6) rounds, numerous assorted loose cartridges and spent shell casings, and approximately 36 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Weaver was arrested without incident and is to be charged with five (5) counts of Possession of Firearm without FID Card, five (5) counts of Possession of Ammunition without FID card, Possession Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Trafficking in a Class B Substance.

Richard Weaver is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
