15-year-old arrested for drug related shooting, armed robbery in Boyton Beach Home Depot parking lot

BOYTON BEACH, FL – A 15-year-old boy is facing four counts of attempted murder following a shooting in a shopping center parking lot off Southwest 8th Street on Wednesday.


Savonlavell Huggins of Boynton Beach was arrested Wednesday afternoon and additionally charged with discharging a firearm in public. Investigation determined he shot at four people inside a car. Two of the victims were grazed by bullets. Detectives have information to suggest the shooting was drug related.

Huggins was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

According to police, Huggins approached a car with four subjects and shot into it, grazing the victims. During the exchange, one of the suspects pulled a gun and demanded money from the occupants. After the suspect fired a warning shot, the driver of the vehicle sped away and the Huggins continued firing into the car.
