New Brunswick police investigating shooting murder

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department announced today that a fatal shooting is under investigation.

On November 2, 2021 at approximately 8:12 P.M., authorities responded to the area of Seamen Street and Remsen Avenue following the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located Lorenzo Hill Staten, 32, of Franklin, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment where he was pronounced dead.
