Kamala Harris says you can track racial and environmental injustice by counting trees in a neighborhood

If you live in a neighborhood in America without trees, chances are, you’re facing racial injustice. That’s the assumption being made after Vice President Kamala Harris noted that a new racial justice tracking system actually counts trees, and that data can be used to determine where racial injustice is occurring in America.

“Can you measure trees?” she asked. “You can track by race and averages of the number of trees where people live.”
