In 2007, Biden said leaving billions in weapons in Middle East will endanger Americans, In 2021, that’s exactly what he did

When Joe Biden was running for President in 2008, he warned that an American withdrawal from the wars in the Middle East that left billions of dollars worth of weapons behind would eventually be used to kill Americans.

Then when he became president, in 2021, that’s what he did. The Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan left the Taliban with billions of dollars worth of American weapons, vehicles, aircraft, technology, and ammunition. The cache was larger than the inventory of some nation’s entire military force.

“There’s a lot at stake in how we end this war,” Biden told voters in 2007. “It makes a big difference to tell the American people the truth in what our options are to end this war.”

“If tomorrow, I’m president of the United States and the order goes out to end the war today, began to withdraw all American troops,” Biden added. “It would take a year to get the American troops out. You hear me now? That’s the truth. It will take a year to get them physically out.”

Biden was able to end the war in just six months, withdrawing the remaining U.S. troops from Afghanistan in one of America’s most embarrassing moments in history.

“If you leave all the equipment behind, you might be able to do it in seven months,” he added. “If you leave those billions of dollars in weapons behind, I promise, they’re going to be used against your grandchild and mine someday.”

Now, the fully armed Taliban parade Afghanistan in American vehicles, carrying American weapons and even wearing U.S. Army gear and uniforms. The American M4 has joined the AK-47 as the Taliban’s main service weapon.

According to Joe Biden’s 2007 comments, your children and grandchildren are now at risk.
