Suspect who Beat and Dragged Child for Attempted Rape Arrested

DORCHESTER, MASSACHUSETTS – At about 8:20 PM on Monday November 8, 2021, members of the BPD Special Investigations Unit along with the Sexual Assault Unit arrested Naeem Patrick, 29, of Dorchester in connection to an aggravated sexual assault that occurred earlier in the day at about 1:30 PM in the area of Sharp Street.

During the incident, the suspect approached a juvenile female victim from behind, striking her in the head with an unknown object before attempting to drag her towards a nearby wooded area.

The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Assault with Intent to Rape and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
