28-year-old shot, later died at hospital

COLUMBUS, OH – On Monday, November 22, 2021 at 3:49pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 3500 block of Fremont St. on a report of a shooting.

On arrival, officers found the decedent, 28-year-old Eric Washington, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Washington was transported to Doctor’s West Hospital, in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 4:55pm.

Washington was arguing with a female when at least one shot was fired. The shot struck Washington fatally wounding him. Following the shooting, the female left the scene.
