Man shot and killed in Silver Spring murder

SILVER SPRING, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are currently investigating the November 21 homicide that occurred in the 1500 block November Circle in Silver Spring.

At approximately 9:17 p.m., Sunday evening, 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male, suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The victim was identified as Jerome Antoine Durant, age 40, of Silver Spring.

This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.
