Surveillance Camera Captures Car Involved in Shooting and D.C. Police Need your help

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, December 18, 2021, in the 900 block of Wahler Place, Southeast.

At approximately 10:48 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle, described as a red four-door sedan with a yellow strap holding down the trunk, was last seen turning onto the 900 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. The vehicle was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
