RV fire shuts down Highway 83 in Defuniak Springs

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FL – A fire that destroyed an RV on Highway 83 North in Defuniak Springs also forced a temporary road closure. The incident happened after 2 pm on Christmas day.

“An RV has caught fire and first responders have shut down traffic near Highway 83.Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Sunrise Road. Southbound traffic is completely blocked at this time,” Walton County Sheriffs Office said. “Argyle Volunteer, Walton County Fire Rescue, Florida, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office is on scene.We will update the post when the roadway is back open.”
