Baltimore police shoot man during mental health call, in critical condition

BALTIMORE, MD – On December 25, 2021, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to a home in the 4100 block of Crawford Avenue, in reference to a male suffering from a behavioral crisis. Once at the location, officers located the suspect, a 59-year-old male.

While speaking with officers, the suspect produced a gun and began firing at officers. Officers returned fire, striking the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and transported by medics to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition. This incident is still under investigation. Charges are currently pending. Sirt Detectives are handling this incident.
