Rideshare driver attacked and carjacked in Jersey Shore town on Christmas eve

ABSECON, NJ – Just after 5:00 PM on December 24, 2021 officers responded to the Absecon Marketplace for a report of a carjacking.

The victim provided a rideshare service to two occupants, described as a B/M and B/F in dark clothing with face coverings, both in their 20’s. The victim was repeatedly punched then tased with a stun gun. He was able to flee from the vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.

The two accused occupants made their getaway with the victim’s vehicle traveling west on U.S. Route 30 (White Horse Pike).
