Delaware DOT tells drivers to stop driving and taking photos after being mocked for misspelled sign

WILMINGTON, DE – After being mocked and ridiculed by motorists in Delaware for installing a misspelled exit sign, the Delaware Department of Transportation is telling drivers to keep their eyes on the road and to stop taking pictures while driving.

“You may have noticed this sign on your commute recently and… you all passed the test! We were making sure commuters were *aware* of our signage. Now stop texting and taking photos while driving, and pay attention to the road,” the agency said.

The sign will be replaced and the DOT blamed a private contractor for the error.
