Driver charged for DWI after crash on Route 9 in Lacey

LACEY TWP, NJ – On Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 6:36 p.m., several officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 9 and Taylor Lane for a hit and run accident.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle attempted to proceed south on Route 9 from Taylor Lane turning to wide and collided with a northbound vehicle.  The responsible vehicle fled turning onto Beach Boulevard where Officer Elton Copes was able to locate it.  The driver, Kelsey Fisher, was arrested after being deemed under the influence.  She was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident.
