Driver Ran Out of Gas, Car Jacked then Shot in the Face in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On January 25, 2022, at approximately 3:04 a.m., Northeast District Patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of Kirk Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, Officers located a 57 year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was seated in his vehicle, after running out of gas in the 2700 block of Kirk Avenue, when he was approached by an unidentified black male suspect armed with a gun. The suspect ordered the victim out of his vehicle, but when the victim refused to exit that vehicle, the suspect shot him in the face.
