Baltimore Police Make Arrest in Stabbing death of 29 Year-Old Man

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – In reference to the January 27th murder by stabbing that occurred in the 1500 block of E. 28th Street, detectives have arrested 42-year-old Jamal Smith of the 1500 block of E. 28th Street.

Smith has since been transported to the Homicide Section where he was interviewed, and then transported to Central Booking where he has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Jamal Smith is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of East 28th Street for a report of a stabbing.

Once there, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from an apparent stab wound to the body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
