Fugitive child molester wanted in New Jersey captured in Florida

MILLVILLE, NJ – A fugitive suspect, wanted in connection with a child molestation case has been captured in Florida after a joint effort by the Millville Police Department, U.S. Marshall’s Service and the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

On January 24, 2022, the Millville, NJ Police Department contacted Port St. Lucie Police Department in Florida for assistance in locating a wanted fugitive who had left their jurisdiction.

In a matter of days, PSLPD Detective Harrington, who is a member of the United States Marshals Service Task Force, located 65-year-old Felix Colon, in Port St. Lucie. Colon was taken into custody and transported to jail for active arrest warrants out of New Jersey pursuant to 1st degree aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and 2nd-degree sexual assault. Colon is being held with no bond and will be extradited back to New Jersey.


PSLPD’s Criminal Investigation Division, the United States Marshals Task Force, and the Millville NJ Police Department worked jointly together to apprehend this wanted fugitive.
