17-year-old Arrested And Charged With 1st Degree Murder in Shooting Death in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On January 17, 2022, Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of North Franklintown Road to investigate reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived at the location they observed 23-year-old Darron McCoy suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment and pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Homicide investigators were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant. On January 28, 2022, a 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested and charged with the 1st Degree Murder of Darron McCoy

The juvenile is currently being held without bail.
