Three suspects arrested in connection with Shooting in Fells Point

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On January 15, 2022, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Thames Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location they observed an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Southeast District Shooting investigators responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Detectives spoke with witnesses and learned that the shooting occurred after a physical altercation erupted inside of a local establishment. According to witnesses, after exiting the establishment the suspects got into a SUV and shot the victim from the vehicle.

Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspects involved. On February 2, 2022, 25-year-old Nathan Presbury of Belcamp, Md., 26-year-old Luciano Bruno of Cecilton, Md. and 31-year-old Ronald Maranto of a Perryville, Md. were arrested and criminally charged with the Fells Point shooting.

Presbury, Luciano and Maranto are currently being held without bail pending trial. Charges range from 1st Degree Attempted Murder to conspiracy to commit murder, as well as other offenses related to the crime.
